Working on Maleficent: Mistress of Evil was an incredible experience, especially leading an FX team of around 45 talented artists. It was a massive responsibility to oversee the entire movie’s FX shots, ensuring everything matched the film’s magical yet intense atmosphere.
One of the biggest challenges was developing the main key setups for the film. From enchanting magical elements to large-scale destruction, we had to craft FX that seamlessly blended with the storytelling.
A highlight for me was working on the magical fire destruction—bringing those fiery, mystical elements to life required a balance of realism and fantasy. We pushed the limits of our tools to create stunning visuals that enhanced the epic battles and emotional moments of the film.
Leading such a large team meant constant collaboration, troubleshooting, and making sure we hit the highest quality possible. Seeing everything come together on the big screen made all the hard work worth it!
